Kindly take note of the below information regarding South African port omissions as extracted from Maersk’s customer advisories for week 41.
Dal Kalahari 214N & Santa Isabel 214N – Coega North Bound – Omission:
- Due to the delays in Durban and to protect the Cape Town window, both the Dal Kalahari and the Santa Isabel will omit Coega on the North Bound calls.
- Export cargo will be booked on the Dal Kalahari will be transferred to the Santa Ursula 214S and all export cargo booked on the Santa Isabel will be transferred onto the Santa Cruz 214S.
- Imports from Durban to Coega will be amended to the Protea Service for delivery to Port Elizabeth.
Santa Cruz – Cape Town South Bound – Omission:
- For Maersk to recover the schedule and to protect their Window in Coega the Santa Cruz will omit Cape Town on her southbound call.
- Exports will be planned on the next available vessel.
- Imports will remain on board for the north bound call on 04/11.
Cypress – Cape Town – Omission:
- Kindly note that Maersk have been informed by their partners at CMA that the Cypress has been heavily delayed ex West Africa and will not be able to make her Cape Town window. The Cypress will therefore Omit Cape Town and proceed directly to the Far East.
- Export units will be transferred to the Northern Jupiter 139E ex Cape Town ETA 18/10.
- There is no impact to imports as there are nil imports for Cape Town onboard.
Santa Ursula 214N – Coega North Bound – Omission:
- Due to the ongoing delays in Durban and to protect the Cape Town window the Santa Ursula will omit Coega on the North Bound call.
- Export cargo booked on the Santa Ursula 214N will be transferred to the Santa Cruz 214S.
- Imports from Durban to Coega will be amended to the Protea Service for delivery to Port Elizabeth.
Maersk Sofia East Bound – Cape Town – Omission:
- Kindly note that the Maersk Sofia will omit Cape Town on her East Bound voyage.
- All exports from Cape Town will be transferred to the Northern Jupiter 139E.
- All Cape Town imports onboard will be discharged in Walvis Bay and will connect onto the Barrier 063N from Walvis Bay on the 24/10.
