The United States has reached a deal with the European Union to resolve a three-year dispute over tariffs on steel and aluminium imported from the bloc. The US has announced that it will no longer apply the Section 232 tariffs on a certain amount of EU exports of steel and aluminium, effective as of 1st December 2021.  The EU intends to suspend the increase in rebalancing measures set for 1 December. In addition, the EU has agreed with the US that both sides will hit the pause button on their respective WTO cases against each other.

American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duvall commented today on the agreement to end a Section 232 tariff dispute between the United States and the European Union.
