With wave heights of up to eight meters, Port Elizabeth will see the biggest effects on Tuesday and Wednesday. The movement of vessels and terminal operations may be adversely affected by this. In order to be safe, vessels may slow down or seek cover.
Additionally, Transnet is experiencing problems with its tug boat fleet in the Eastern Cape, which is affecting vessel berthing and sailing. As a result, significant delays are anticipated in both Port Elizabeth terminals.
