In this update, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) is replacing Notes 2 and 5(a) while also refining the descriptions related to rebate items 522.00 and 523.02.
The primary objective behind these revisions is the integration of a novel provision, Rule 75.26, which facilitates the electronic submission of claims for drawbacks and refunds. This enhancement not only simplifies the process but also aligns us with contemporary and efficient taxation practices.
