The positivity rate has also decreased, indicating a subsiding of the latest wave. South Africa has recorded 3,94 million positive cases, with the death toll up to 101 092 this week (up by 194). Globally, the case tally stands at 528 million infected by COVID-19, with 6,29 million deaths recorded. Around 11,8 billion vaccine doses have been administered
globally, with the South African count at 35,9 million.
