Please note the following notice regarding updates to the Verified Gross Mass (VGM) declarations as required under SOLAS.
SAMSA has tightened oversight of VGM declarations by requiring all weighbridges used under SOLAS Method 1 to obtain formal SAMSA authorisation. Shippers using their own or third-party weighbridges must ensure these facilities are approved, NRCS-type-certified, properly calibrated, and operated under audited SOPs. Authorisations will be valid for three years, with operators required to secure approval by 1 July.
