Kindly note some key highlights from Maersk’s weekly service update for week 49:
Marathopolis 146E – Cape Town – Omission
- The current weather conditions impacting the Cape Town line-up and in order to protect the Durban berthing window the Marathopolis 146E will omit Cape Town and proceed directly to Durban.
- Export units currently booked on the Marathopolis 146E will be transferred to the Maersk Rubicon 147E.
- There are no imports for Cape Town onboard.
Maersk Sheerness 148E – Cape Town – Omission
- In order to make Chinese New Year the Maersk Sheerness 148E will omit Cape Town on her Eastbound voyage.
- Export units currently booked on the Maersk Sheerness 148E will be transferred to the Mersk Sofia 149E with ETA Cape Town 03 January 2022.
- There are no imports for Cape Town onboard.
Maersk Vallvik – Cape Town – Change of Terminal
- Due berthing congestion at Cape Town Container Terminal as a result of the weather stoppages the Maersk Vallvik will now call Multi-Purpose Terminal (MPT)
Spil Nisaka – Durban – Double Call (Cancelled)
- Due to increased waiting at Durban Point Terminal CMA has decided to revert back to Pier 1 for both load and discharge.
